Intermediate Architect / Project Architect

Isaac-Rae is looking for an Intermediate Architect / Project Architect to join our team. The role is for an experienced, detail-oriented, well-spoken individual who has the ability to work on multiple projects at once producing technical drawings, contributing thoughtful design details and creating client-facing presentations for commercial and residential work in NYC and the east end of Long Island.

Applicants must be willing/able to work at least 3 days per week in person from our North Fork studio located in Greenport, NY.

Requirements:

  • BArch or MArch degree from an accredited university

  • 3+ years experience in project management for residential and commercial architecture

  • References from NY-based architecture firm(s)

  • Extensive experience with construction documents and details

  • Some understanding of local zoning and building codes a plus

  • Exceptional attention to detail as well as organization and time management skills  

  • Proficiency in Revit

  • 3D modeling 3dsmax, Rhino, Sketchup

  • 3D Rendering in 3dsmax Vray3.xx or Corona

  • Strong intrapersonal skills and the ability to work with a close-knit small studio team balanced with the ability to work independently

Role Details:

  • Organizing multiple projects, including day to day management of clients, contractors and consultants from schematic design through to construction administration.

  • Plan, organize and produce deliverables for each project phase:

    • Schematic Design: Developing conceptual designs, 3d modeling, renderings, drawings, presentation decks;

    • Design Development: Renderings, models, detailed plans, interior elevations, presentation decks;

    • Construction Documentation: Detailed plans, elevations, sections & details, final renderings, schedules for plumbing, doors, windows, finishes, etc., updating and adding to project manuals, RFI management of bidding spreadsheets

    • Construction Administration: Ability to support the project in the field during construction, drafting weekly project reports and communicating with the larger team.
